Every year for the past 43 years, Allouez Council has been hosting a pancake breakfast in the memory of Sir Knight Larry Quane who originally organized the pancake breakfast to raise funds to help local pro-life agencies in their efforts promote a culture of life.
The breakfast was originally held in January on the Sunday closest to the Anniversary
of the Supreme Court Decision on Roe v Wade. After the Supreme Court overrode the
Roe v Wade decision, the Respect Life Pancake Breakfast was moved to the month of October, which is Respect Life Month.
This year, 2025, the Sir Knight Larry Quane Memorial Pancake Breakfast will be on Respect Life Sunday, October 5th. The local pro-life agencies: Quad Cities Right to Life, Christ Child Society of the Quad Cities, Pregnancy Resources, and The Woman’s Choice Center, have been invited to attend the breakfast and setup a display promoting their mission, and to answer any questions our breakfast attendees may have.
The proceeds from the breakfast will be split between the above-named agencies. The breakfast menu features homemade pancakes made by Lou Granato using his secret recipe. There will be blueberry pancakes available as well as plain pancakes. Freewill donations will be accepted. Please plan to attend.
If you can’t make it to the breakfast, but would like to support the respect life cause, you should make your check out to Allouez Council #658 and mail it to:
