Seminarian Support – Vocations Raffle
  Refund Support Vocations Program

The Faith in Action Program, Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP) is designed to keep the faith alive by supporting our seminarians and men and women religious postulants and novices. As the strong right arm of the church, Knights of Columbus are committed to providing moral, financial and spiritual support to our future priests and religious at all stages of their formation.
Allouez Council provides support for seminarians from Rock Island.  We send the seminarians $250 in financial support twice a year, one at Easter and again at Christmas.  We send them birthday and Christmas cards, and they are included in our Council’s email distribution list. We also send them our Monthly Abstract/Newsletter.
Our Council is currently supporting seminarians Luke Olson, Class of 2027, and Jared Hernandez, Class of 2031.

To help our Council to fund our seminarian support program we participate in the Knights of Columbus Illinois State Council’s Vocation Support Raffle.  Councils throughout the State sell raffle tickets during the months of August through November.  In early December, the State Council draws the names of the 20 raffle winners.  Prizes in the raffle range from $100 up to $10,000.  The raffle tickets are $5 each, or a book of 5 for $20.  Our Council keeps $10 of every $20 sold to help fund our Vocations Support Program. If you would like to purchase Vocation Support Raffle tickets, you can contact any Council member, or Jim Wieland at (309) 948-5534 or jimwieland@sbcglobal.net. Raffle tickets may also be purchased online. Click or scan the QR Code below to purchase raffle tickets online.
