Firefighter and Police Officer of the Year
Each year Allouez Council 658 hosts the Annual Firefighter and Police Officer of the Year Awards Banquet for the City of Rock Island. This event honors the firefighter and police officer voted by their peers as representing the best-of-the-best.
This year is the 46th Annual Civic Awards Dinner and will be held at the Stern Center in Rock Island on Sunday, September 7th. Cocktail Hour starts at 5:00pm followed by dinner at 6:00pm. The price for the dinner is $20 per person (the same price as it has been for the last 10 years). After dinner there will be program featuring dignitaries from the City of Rock Island and the Police and Fire Departments honoring the selected Firefighter of the Year – Joel Wilford, and Police Officer of the Year – Drake Schroeder.

This dinner is the brainchild of our own Louie Alongi and Al Kukla (may he RIP) – again this is the 46th YEAR of the KNIGHTS supporting Rock Island first responders!! Makes us proud to support the departments and their employees for so many years.
